To take off and fly a drone within an air traffic control zone at an airport, you require air traffic control clearance from the local air traffic control tower.<\/p>\n

On 6 August 2026, new regulations for flights within Controlled Airspace D will come into force, based on NfL 2026-1-3959 issued by the Federal Ministry of Transport. Please familiarise yourself with the latest changes, in particular NfL 2026-1-3981 and 2026-1-3982, as well as the publications and amendments in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Apply for air traffic control clearance<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>
