As of 1 April 2021, Pierre Hermann completes the dual leadership of DFS subsidiary DFS Aviation Services.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As of the second quarter of this year, Pierre Hermann, together with managing director Andreas P\u00f6tzsch, continues to manage the international business of DFS Aviation Services (DFS).<\/p>\n

Pierre Hermann previously held various executive positions in parent company DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS), including head of Aeronautical Information Management (AIM). The graduate industrial engineer began his career at DFS back in 1999 with responsibility for marketing the Academy of German Air Traffic Control.<\/p>\n

At DFS Aviation Services, Pierre Hermann will be responsible in particular for Finance, Air Traffic System Development and Maintenance, Project Management and Business Development & Marketing\/PR. He states: \u201cI’m very much looking forward to joining the commercial business of the DFS group, and would like to drive the successful development of DFS Aviation Services. The DFS group offers an innovative, future-focused portfolio of products and services for both the national and international aviation sector. With a strong team of expert colleagues, and building on our extensive customer base and network of investments and partners, I would like to actively develop the positive business performance of DFS Aviation Services,\u201d<\/p>\n

Andreas P\u00f6tzsch, DAS managing director, says: \u201cPierre Hermann knows the ins and outs of the ATM sector and has been instrumental in his previous roles at DFS in creating lean, reliable processes. He also has valuable contacts from his international work which we can make good use of for the further growth of our company. DFS Aviation Services GmbH<\/h2>\n

DFS Aviation Services GmbH (DAS) is a subsidiary of DFS, the German air navigation service provider (ANSP). It employs more than 400 members of staff worldwide. DAS is a certified ANSP, provides air traffic services at regional airports in Germany and markets its ATM products and services worldwide. Its customers include air navigation services providers, airport operators, airlines and aeronautical authorities from around the globe.<\/p>\n

Through its UK subsidiary, Air Navigation Solutions Ltd. (ANSL), DAS is also responsible for the provision of air traffic control at Edinburgh and London Gatwick. In the Middle East, the subsidiary DFS Aviation Services Bahrain Co WLL supports the local air navigation service provider. In Asia, DAS maintains a representative office in Beijing and a branch in Singapore. DFS Aviation Services additionally offers turnkey remote tower solutions via its Joint Venture Frequentis DFS Aerosense GmbH, together with Frequentis AG from Vienna.<\/p>\n
