The international airport in the central south of Azerbaijan, with a runway length of 3000 metres, will be equipped with infrastructure that meets international standards. The foundation stone for the airport was laid in January 2021. Already first test passenger flight was successfully performed on 5<sup>th<\/sup> September supported by new Fuzuli TWR control. The Airport is scheduled to come into operation at the end of this year.<\/p>\n<p>The tower system used was the proven radar data display and processing system PHOENIX air situation from the DFS Group, including a new generation of hardware. Technical implementation including the commissioning took place over a few months starting April 2021. Technical and operational staff were trained on site by DFS Aviation Services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are both happy and proud that the new tower system could be handed over to AZANS on time and to the satisfaction of the end customer, despite the coronavirus restrictions.
