The aim of the consulting project is to create a sound strategic basis for decision-making on the future orientation of selected tower locations in Albania.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Various technical and operational solution options are being evaluated as part of the project. These include a conventional tower, a mobile tower, a remote tower system and a remote tower control centre that can serve several airports simultaneously and also function as a contingency facility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In a second step, one of the options will be analysed in depth. In doing so, DAS will develop, among other things:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span> the technical solutions for a possible remote tower system,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> possible operational applicability <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span> and the structure of a requirements document as a basis for a subsequent tender.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>Finally, a cost-benefit analysis will be carried out to transparently present the economic and operational implications of a possible implementation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The study is scheduled to run for around three to four months. The results will serve as a reliable basis for decision-making by Albcontrol for further strategic planning. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Albcontrol is committed to continuously modernising Albania\u2019s air navigation infrastructure in line with European and international standards. This feasibility study represents an important step in assessing how innovative technologies can enhance operational resilience, optimise resource allocation and ensure the highest levels of safety and service quality across our aerodromes.
