DFS Aviation Services (DAS) has signed a contract with Egypt\u2019s National Air Navigation Services Company (NANSC), marking an important step in strengthening international collaboration in air traffic management (ATM) training and operational excellence.<\/p>\n

The agreement establishes NANSC as a new customer of the DAS A\u00b2 Academy and underscores the growing international demand for advanced ATM training solutions and expertise provided by DFS Aviation Services.<\/p>\n

The partnership was formalized during a visit to Cairo, hosted by NANSC and representatives of the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation. The agreement was signed by Captain Ehab Mohieldin Azmi, Chairman of NANSC, and Andreas P\u00f6tzsch, Managing Director of DFS Aviation Services.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis contract marks the beginning of an important cooperation with DFS Aviation Services. The specialised training at the DAS A\u00b2 Academy will further strengthen the capabilities of our air traffic management professionals,\u201d said Captain Ehab Mohieldin Azmi, Chairman of the Board of the National Air Navigation Services Company.<\/p>\n

Under the agreement, DFS Aviation Services will deliver specialised training programmes for Egyptian air traffic management professionals at the DAS A\u00b2 Academy in Langen, Germany. The training portfolio includes courses on Controller\u2013Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC), SID\/STAR familiarisation, and best practices in the design and management of air navigation procedures. As part of the project, the academy will support around 80 participants through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical training elements in a modern classroom and simulator environment. The programmes are designed to support the continued development of Egypt\u2019s air navigation system in line with international standards and industry best practices.<\/p>\n

The cooperation reflects a shared commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and capacity within the Egyptian airspace system while fostering long-term knowledge transfer between both organizations. The cooperation aligns with the strategic objectives of Egypt\u2019s Ministry of Civil Aviation to further develop the country\u2019s air navigation services and strengthen the competitiveness of Egyptian airspace at both regional and international levels.<\/p>\n

DFS Aviation Services GmbH (DAS)<\/strong> is a subsidiary of DFS, the German air navigation service provider (ANSP). It employs more than 400 members of staff worldwide. DAS is a certified ANSP, provides air traffic services at regional airports in Germany and markets its ATM products and services worldwide. Its customers include air navigation services providers, airport operators, airlines and aeronautical authorities from around the globe. Through its UK subsidiary, Air Navigation Solutions Ltd. (ANSL), DAS is also responsible for the provision of air traffic control at Edinburgh. In the Middle East, the subsidiary DFS Aviation Services Bahrain Co WLL and the DFS Aviation Services Middle East branch in Dubai support the local air navigation service providers in areas relating to ATC personnel and technology. In South America, DAS has a branch office in Lima.
