This year’s World ATM Congress, the most important trade fair for the air traffic control industry, has now officially been cancelled this week. It should have taken place in Madrid from 10 to 12 March, and we were also registered as exhibitors. The reason for the cancellation are the developments around the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2 virus).
We at DFS Aviation Services had been carefully monitoring and verifying the developments around the progressive spread of the virus and had already decided to cancel our participation. This decision was not an easy one for all sides, that’s for sure. The cancellation of the World ATM Congress is a big loss for the whole ATM industry. But there is one absolute priority for all of us: Safety first!
We are now all looking forward to the next World ATM Congress 2021 and are already busy arranging alternatives for the many exciting activities and dates that we had planned.
