Air Traffic Control Association Japan engages consulting services of DFS Aviation Services regarding airport capacity analysis

Air Traffic Control Association Japan (ATCAJ) has contracted DFS Aviation Services (DAS) for consulting services regarding the use of AirTOP software for airport capacity studies. A workshop at ATCAJ’s premises at Haneda Airport in Tokyo will address how to use AirTOP specifically for runway capacity analysis, interpreting the results and reporting.

ATCAJ had studied various ways to analyse runway capacity for the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) and visited DAS and Fraport in February 2020 regarding several runway capacity topics.

Mr Takashi Kuratomi, Senior Executive of ATCAJ: “From DAS we acquire state-of-the-art knowledge and skills for our staff regarding capacity analysis by means of AirTOP, which will be used in enhancing capacity analyses domestically.”

DAS Regional sales manager Hans de Jong : “We are delighted to share with ATCAJ our expertise in capacity analysis using AirTOP that has been built up in countless successful projects, both in-house as well as for customers worldwide.”

The Air Traffic Control Association, Japan (ATCAJ) was established in 1958 and developed into an incorporated foundation approved by the Prime Minister of Japan. ATCAJ conducts projects aimed at ensuring aviation safety both domestically and internationally, promoting international mutual understanding, cooperating with overseas regions under development, and using and improving the land, thereby promoting the development of air traffic.
